Answers to the questions we get most, and a real person at the other end of the email when they are not enough.
Email hello@filibaba.com and we will get back to you, usually within a couple of working days. Plantry is made by a two-person team in Sweden, so you are writing to the people who build the app.
From inside Plantry, tap Settings, then Email Us, then Send Feedback. Whichever way you write, tell us which iPhone or iPad you are on, which version of iOS it runs, and what you did just before things went wrong. That is usually all we need to reproduce a problem.
Subscriptions are handled by Apple, not by us, so they are cancelled on your device: open the Settings app, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions, then Plantry, then Cancel Subscription. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Cancelling during the free trial means you are never charged.
Apple handles all payments and is the only one who can issue a refund. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com using the Apple Account that made the purchase. We cannot refund a purchase for you, but write to us anyway if something went wrong, because we would like to know.
Open Settings in Plantry and tap Restore Purchases, making sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account you bought with. If it still does not unlock, email us and include the receipt Apple sent you.
Every new member gets 7 days of full access. Nothing is charged until the trial ends, and the price is always shown in the app before you commit.
Yes, on any iPhone or iPad signed in to the same Apple Account. Tap Restore Purchases in Settings on the second device.
Most sites work, but some hide their recipe behind a login, a paywall or a script that never finishes loading. Send us the link and we will look at it. We regularly add support for sites that people ask about, so the link genuinely helps.
Plantry reads the caption first, and writes the steps out of the video itself when the caption leaves them out. A clip with no spoken or written instructions gives it very little to work with. You can always edit the saved recipe and add the missing steps yourself.
Videos are fetched when you save the recipe, and a post that has since been deleted or made private cannot be played back. Check that you are online, then try saving the post again.
Yes, any recipe, including ours. Editing one of ours makes your own copy and leaves the original alone.
The list collects ingredients from the recipes in your active plan. If something is missing, check that the recipe is in the plan and that the item has not already been checked off. Checked items move to the bottom of the list rather than disappearing.
Set your household serving size once in Settings and every recipe scales to match, along with the amounts on your list. You can also set a different number on a single recipe without changing your default.
Whichever you cook in. Under Settings, then Language, pick English (U.S.) for cups and ounces or English (Metric) for deciliters and grams.
Open Plantry once so it can refresh in the background, and check that Background App Refresh is on under Settings, then General. iOS decides when a widget redraws, so it can lag a little behind the app.
Full-screen cooking with hands-free needs microphone access, which you can grant under Settings, then Plantry. It understands English, Swedish and German, and it listens for the language the app is set to rather than the one you are speaking.
Not yet. Recipes and plans are stored on each device today. Syncing across devices is something we are working on, and it is the request we hear most.
No. Plantry is an iPhone and iPad app, and there is currently no Android version.
Anonymous usage signals through TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service, so we can see which features get used and where people run into trouble. No advertising identifiers, and nothing you write in Plantry goes with it: your recipes, plans and shopping lists stay on your device. The full detail is in our privacy policy.
Your recipes and plans live on your device, so deleting the app removes them. Deleting is permanent, so export or print anything you want to keep first.
It is here: Plantry’s privacy policy. It covers what stays on your device, what the anonymous statistics actually contain, and what happens to a fridge photo when you use Leftovers.
Write to hello@filibaba.com and we will take it from there.
